Splendor Amsterdam
MUST SEE (and LISTEN)!
Brechtje (voice), Sarah Jeffery (recorders, voice), Josephine Bode (recorders, voice), Dodó Kis (EWI, voice, recorders), Jornt Duyx (electric guitar, voice), Marcos Baggiani (drums)
Mees Joachim (visuals/scenography), Vladimir Grafov (light technician), Jesse Meijer (sound mixing)
“Not often, you bump into a group where practically all members have different musical and cultural backgrounds. The Amsterdam based Jerboah is such o group. The six musicians are rooted ln rock, jazz, theater and contemporary classical music, but found each other on the stage. Three of these multi instrumentalists play recorders (“blokfluit”). This, in combination with vocals, electric guitar, synthesizer and drums, results in wonderful post-pop and art-rock. The vibe is alienating, the sound is non-western and the style is hard to be pigeonholed. These are musical explorers.” (tekst Composers’ Festival)
